- Donation and payment-related information: donation amount and any information you submit through a payment provider (we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers).
- Communications: messages you send through forms, email, SMS, or other channels.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies: cookies may be used for security, functionality, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Information from third parties

- To operate the Site and provide services, including processing help requests, routing requests to Angels based on service area, and communicating about requests.

How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- With Angels and coordinators: We share the minimum information needed to fulfill a request. Public portions may be visible broadly; private fields are intended for Angels/staff only.
- With service providers: We may share information with vendors who help us operate the Site (hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery, analytics, form processing), under appropriate safeguards.
- With payment processors: Donation data is shared with the payment provider you choose to complete the transaction.
- For legal and safety reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our community, users, and the public.
SMS and email alerts
If you opt in to SMS alerts, you consent to receive text messages related to Red Bird requests, volunteer coordination, or donation-related updates, depending on your selections. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP or contact help@redbirdhope.org.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to operate our services, comply with legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Request records and donation records may be retained for accountability and reporting.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
