Our Sponsor A Neighbor program is an ongoing way to step into someone’s story, make an immediate difference, and stay by their side through the challenges they face in creating a brighter and more stable future for themselves. You choose and follow a real neighbor in need, recommended by one of our Angels.
Our Angel volunteers know the community and understand what help is needed most, and who is making a real journey toward stabilizing. Sponsors can support needs through Online Donations, Amazon Wishlists, and Physical Donation pickup and delivery. Sponsors can view updates posted by participants and subscribe to their Progress Updates to keep informed on what they need to succeed along their journey.

When someone is struggling, even a small act of continuous support, an “I Got You,” can change their entire week, and sometimes their entire lives. Your sponsorship tells a neighbor, “You are seen. You are not alone.” It is local compassion in action, and it is one of the fastest ways to turn generosity into real, tangible relief.
How to Participate
To participate in Sponsor A Neighbor, you will need to ask a Registered Angel to recommend you. Because spots are limited, not every recommendation will be accepted, but each one will be carefully reviewed.
Registered Angels can recommend participants by emailing theresa@redbirdhope.org. Please include your Angel username, the participant’s name, the participant’s story, and their ZIP code.
