Secret Santa
Our Secret Santa Program is a year-round initiative that allows Donors and Angels to bring comfort, dignity, and a little joy to someone who deserves a little cheer. Angels can recommend participants they know, so gifts go to real neighbors who are struggling and often overlooked. This program is not about luxuries.
It is about thoughtful, personal items that can lift someone’s spirit and make daily life easier and kinder, especially for people who would never spend money on themselves because every dollar has to go toward survival.
A Secret Santa gift might be something simple but life-changing: a pair of supportive memory foam shoes, a really soft, warm blanket, specialty personal care items, a thrift store gift card to rebuild a wardrobe, a supportive pillow, or other comfort items that can restore confidence and a sense of being loved.
It is one of the most human things we can do to remind someone that they matter, that they are worthy of kindness, and that they are not alone.
These are people who are:
- Seniors struggling in poverty,
- Single moms who never buy anything for themselves,
- Veterans who need some cheer,
- Children who have recently lost a parent,
- College students living in their car, achieving good grades despite their poverty,
- Recovering addicts working or going back to school to create a new and better life for themselves.
These are just a few examples of the people who will be part of our Secret Santa Program.

How to Participate
To participate in our Secret Santa Program, you will need to ask a Registered Angel to recommend you. Because spots are limited, not every recommendation will be accepted, but each one will be carefully reviewed. Registered Angels can begin recommending Secret Santa participants by emailing help@redbirdhope.org.
Please include your Angel username, the participant’s name, the participant’s story, their zip code, and either a link to the requested item on Amazon or the name of a local thrift store where a gift card can be used.
