UPDATE: We have raised enough money to purchase a tent, but we still need two twin air mattresses and a pump or $40, and basic camping supplies. If you have these items and want to donate, please email us at help@redbirdhope.org.

I am in urgent need of a new or used tent and basic camping supplies for me and my son. We have to be out of our apartment by midnight Sunday, or the sheriff will remove us. We do not have anywhere else to go right now. Trident United Way is trying to help me get into a trailer I found to rent, but the resources will not be available until the middle of next week. I do not get paid until Friday, May 8, and after that I should be able to manage until the rental assistance comes through.

For now, my dog, son, and I are trying to stay at Givhans Ferry State Park for a few days so we have somewhere safe to be. I need to borrow or receive a tent for two people, an air mattress, an air pump, and any basic camping supplies that could help us get through Monday through Thursday. I am willing to return the tent and air mattress/camping items after we are finished using them. If anything is donated instead of loaned, I would be happy to pass it along to someone else in need when we no longer need it.
