Jaime is a disabled mother and her three children urgently need help with food while they wait for their SNAP benefits to be renewed. Their renewal application was submitted two days late, and the processing delay has temporarily left the family without their usual food assistance.

Her oldest child is 17 years old and terminally ill. She receives care at home and depends on a ventilator. Her younger children, ages 7 and 9, have autism, ADHD, and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). Caring for three children with serious medical and developmental needs while managing her own disability leaves their mother with very limited resources. She cannot leave home to go to food pantries as she has to be home with her daughter at all times.

The family is requesting $160 in emergency food assistance, which provides $40 for each of the four family members. This assistance will help them purchase essential groceries while their SNAP renewal is being processed.
