Request #5070 · Ted · Summerville · Work Shoes

Ted is in urgent need of non-slip work shoes. Due to his shoe size, we are having a hard time finding donated items that fit him. He requires a size 14.5. Ted is a very gentle man, a widow, and is currently unsheltered. He lost his wife, who was also his best friend in the whole world, and recently lost his brother. Many hardships and depression have led to Ted's housing instability, but he maintains employment at a local grocery store and is in need of new work shoes. If you can find it in your heart to help Ted stay warm this winter, he would be very grateful. Keep in mind that while he works, homelessness in and of itself is very expensive, especially if you are low-income. After food, medications, necessities, other medical needs, and storage unit costs, his funds are largely exhausted. Please help Ted if you can.

RedBird Note: We will purchase his shoes online, have them shipped to our headquarters, and we will have a volunteer deliver them to him. Please reach out if you would be willing to pick up and deliver Ted's sleeping bag off Old Trolley Rd.
